HHHS - Recycle Your Paper

Four years ago, a group of concerned students and teachers at Hatboro-Horsham High School started a club called Students for a Sustainable Future (SSF). We are committed to protecting the environment and to raising awareness about how we can all do our part.

SSF members started a paper recycling program in our high school and we have already recycled 22 tons from within the school and are now reaching out to our local community. Our hope is to work together to save trees and to decrease the amount of trash we send to our landfills.

What do we accept??

24 hours a day 7 days a week at our school. (If dropping off shredded paper – please put in a bag. If dropping off theme books – please take off the front and back hardcover – the metal spiral may remain intact. You do not need to remove staples from paper. Please no cardboard or phonebooks).

Where do we take the paper??

There are recycling bins at each of Hatboro-Horsham school. At HHHS they are on the right side of the building in the back, at KV they are at the far end of the driveway in front of the school, at Simmons at the right of the school near the playground.

Who can participate??

You! It is easy to get started – just place an empty box/bag near your trash! Bring your box over to the school when it gets full and deposit your paper in our recycling bin.

Let your neighbors know they can contribute to our school as well! Do you know of a local business?

Maybe a print shop, grocery store or post office? Ask them to bring their paper to our bin! There is no financial commitment from you, just bring us your paper!

Thank you for your year-round support! Every time our bin is full – our school saves 17 trees from being cut down! Don’t throw your paper away, recycle it!
