Enjoy three nights at the movies followed by discussion groups led by panels of experts. Each movie delves into a different aspect of sustainability – fishing, water and farming. Learn how your small changes can make a big difference to the world. – Presented by Pennypack Farm and Education Center.

Jan 12th 7:30pm – THE END OF THE LINE reveals the impact of overfishing on our oceans. Scientists predict that at the current rate of fishing most seafood will be gone by 2048. The movie points to solutions that are simple and doable and will ensure a supply of seafood for future generations.

Feb 16th 7:30pm – Looks at the environmental damage and health risks created by bottled water. Is access to clean drinking water a basic human right or a commodity to be bought and sold? Just two startling facts – 40% of bottled water is just tap water (so why pay for it?) and two million tons of plastic garbage created by bottled water is in landfills, or worse, in the ocean. This movie will make you think twice before you purchase another plastic water bottle.

Mar 11, 2010 8am-6:30pm | Enjoy a day in Atlantic City, without the hassles of driving! A chartered bus with a restroom on board will be departing the Horsham Township Community Center at 8:30am on Thursday, March 11, 2010, and will return to the Community Center at approximately 6:30pm. The fee listed below includes your bus transportation. When the individual casinos release their package deals in February, we will have information available regarding what specifi c playing package we will be offering, but of course you are welcome to spend the day at any casino you choose, or take the time to explore the Atlantic City outlets and restaurants if you prefer. Please note that we need a minimum of 35 people registered by February 9, 2010 to make this trip happen. All participants must be 21 years of age to board the bus, regardless of intent to gamble. Dress for Success is an inter-national non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing them with professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success Philadelphia has been providing clothing,confidence and career boosts to more than 4200 since we opened on July 1, 2008.

All donations are tax-deductible.

We can only accept nearly new women's suits, skirts, pants, shoes and bags. Current needs are for “Plus Size” and Spring clothing. If your donations are appropriate to wear to work and if you would still feel comfortable wearing your donated item to an interview, we'll take it!

Today, we supply over 100 of the region’s hospitals with blood collected from the nearly 200 bloodmobiles held each week. Blood Drive at Days Inn every 3rd Sunday.

On June 18th, 2010, at 9:00pm, the Relay For Life of EMC will remember and honor loved ones at the Luminaria Ceremony. The track will be lined with luminaries, candle lit bags. Each luminaria is lit in honor of someone who has survived cancer or in memory of someone who did not. The honoree’s names are prominently displayed on the bags. As participants walk throughout the night, the luminaries remind and inspire them that the fight against cancer is about real people in the community. Luminaires are available for a suggested $10 donation per individual honored.

I invite you to be a part of the fight against cancer within our community.
